Awards & Recognitions
 
   
As Soroptimists work to improve the lives of women and girls in their communities
and throughout the world. There are several award & scholarship opportunity available
at the regional and local club level to help meet their mission.
 
SOROPTIMIST LIVE YOUR DREAM AWARDS
An identifying project of Soroptimist International of the Americas, this program is intended to assist women entering or re-entering the workforce to obtain the skills and education they need to improve their employment status through higher education. Awards are given at the club level. Club winners go on to district competition. Funded by the Soroptimist Foundation, the Region winner receives $5000 and continues to compete at the Federation level.

NCR PAST GOVERNORS AWARD
This is a special award given by the North Central Region for a woman pursuing postgraduate studies. This award of $2000 is given annually through special donations of NCR clubs.

Soroptimist International Programme Focus Objective
 
  1. Increase access to formal and non-formal learning opportunities.
  2. Improve access to economic empowerment and sustainable opportunities for the employment of women.
  3. Eliminate violence against women and girls and ensure women’s participation in conflict resolution.
